'Saturday 17 June, one of the hottest days of the year, saw almost 100 OCs guests, former staff and current staff return to Cokethorpe for the annual Reunion Dinner.
Old Cokethorpeans, from 1959 through to last year’s leavers, enjoyed listening to the Oxford University Jazz Society Quartet over pink fizz, whilst being entertained by magician Sam Strange. After reminiscing on days gone by, and all the adventures the OCs got up to in their time at School, guests were treated to a lovely three course meal, followed by an amazing cheese board.
Tony Baker (OC 1964, Harcourt), Chairman of the Cokethorpe Society, said a few words at the end of the dinner about the Society and in celebration of Cokethorpe’s 60th year, before coffee was served.
Old friends reacquainted, and new friends were made, during the evening, which sadly drew to a close all too soon. Many of the younger Old Cokethorpeans headed into Oxford to continue on their celebrations.
Thank you to everyone who came – it was lovely to see such a so many Old Cokethorpeans, and we look forward to welcoming you next year.'
