On Monday 25 April, Year 3 visited the Bacon Theatre in Cheltenham to see The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark.
This classic book, written by Jill Tomlinson, is one of their class texts and certainly one of the children’s favourites. It was brought to life on stage by the Blunderbus Theatre Company in Cheltenham. It is a tale of an endearing baby barn owl called Plop, who is of course afraid of the dark. But when he leaves his nest hole one night, his adventure begins! It was a morning of uplifting entertainment which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. After the show ended, the children were lucky enough to meet some of the stars in person, including the eponymous Owl!
