'Another night of high quality music was performed on Monday 21 March by Cokethorpe pupils and special guests.
Four Cokethorpeans made their Gig Night debut and performed brilliantly, Charlotte White (First Form, Harcourt) singing ‘ Titanium’, Tegan Saunders (First Form, Queen Anne) with ‘Nothing Sweet About Me’, George Traish (Third Form, Swift) singing ‘Let It Go' and Finley Wightman (Third Form, Queen Anne) playing the Cajun for Ollie Charles (Third Form, Gascoigne). Frankie Brown (Third Form, Vanbrugh) performed an original song ‘Eye Of The Storm’ for which she played the piano and sang beautifully. Music was performed from different decades, with Louis Rawlinson (Third Form, Harcourt) singing a Spandau Ballet song ‘To Cut A Long Story Short’ that had the audience clapping away; Charlie Clarke (Third Form, Harcourt) and Tom Alford (Third Form, Swift) with Mr Mullin finished the night to rapturous applause performing a tribute to David Bowie’s song ‘Let’s Dance’. It really was a night of fantastic music, so if you haven’t come to a Gig Night before, make a point of coming to spend an evening listening to some of Cokethorpe’s finest young musicians and singers.'
