Charity Week

The children in the Junior School held a fun-filled selection of events last week to support their chosen charity, Adventure Plus.

It was incredible to see such a wide variety of stalls such as cake and lolly stalls and games including 'guess the number of sweets' and 'park a car'! There was also an amazing array of ‘pop-up’ stalls instigated by the children, fuelling a roaring trade in popcorn, candyfloss and sweets. Karate lessons and Rugby challenges were also in evidence!

The children enjoyed a House Day during on Thursday dressed in their House colours, had a picnic in the grounds and joined in with an exciting afternoon of fun sports.

Adventure Plus is a local charity which offers fun activities and adventure holidays for children and young adults, many of whom may have very little experience of outdoor activities. In the words of Bear Grylls, The Adventure Plus Patron, ‘Adventure Plus is one of the most exciting charities around for inspiring young people to get out there, grab life and live boldly.’

The Junior School would like to thank everyone very much for all their support during Charity Week. Eveyone had lots of fun and raised a great amount of money. The amazing total for the week has currently reached £1337.17.
