This term in their Science lessons, Year 4 have been exploring the science of bubbles and developing their scientific skills. The topic of Bubbles is exciting and motivating and shows how everyday objects can link to Science. Everyone enjoys blowing bubbles, but are they always spherical? Can you make square bubbles? What about different coloured bubbles, very tiny ones or bubbles that last for ages?
4KF have begun trying to find answers to these questions and many more! This week they have been investigating which brand of washing-up liquid produces the ‘best bubbles’! This involved accurately measuring volumes in order to make different concentrations of bubble solution. With the ‘best bubble’ washing up liquid now determined, next week they will explore bubble shape more closely!
