On Saturday 14 March, the whole of the Fourth Form came into School to learn the key skills they will need on their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Expedition.
They spent half the day mastering navigation, kit and the countryside code, culminating with a walk through the local wood to test their aptitude.
The other half of the day was devoted to putting up tents, first aid, and learning to cook on the stoves they will be provided with. All pupils applied themselves well, and battled some bitterly cold weather in the process.
The Fourth Form are now ready for their practice expeditions taking place in April and May, fingers crossed that the weather is kind!
