Visit from Green Party Candidate

On Tuesday 18 November, Lower Sixth students had the chance to hear a talk from the local Green Party candidate Stuart MacDonald. The thought provoking talk inspired a great deal of discussion and debate amongst staff and pupils alike. Lower Sixth student Niamh Walsh (Queen Anne) said of the visit;

'Stuart MacDonald came to speak to the Lower Sixth, as the Green party candidate for the Witney constituency. He talked to us about party policies (they are not just environmental!) and how the Green party wish to create a ‘fairer Britain’ for everyone. We found his talk very interesting and informative, as it was unusual to hear the perspective of one of the ‘smaller’ political parties'.
