A Level Results 2014

Despite being in the middle of the Summer holidays, the Sixth Form Common Room was full at 8am on Thursday 14 August as the Upper Sixth waited nervously to find out those much anticipated A Level results.

Having witnessed the amount of hard work and dedication that had been put in for many months beforehand, the achievements of the students did not come as a huge surprise.

Individually there were some extremely impressive performances but as a year group the Upper Sixth achieved the School’s target of sustaining two-thirds of grades at A*-B. It was especially pleasing to see a number of students achieve grades in excess of those required for their first-choice universities and well over a third of students will be embarking on courses at a Russell Group University, the group of the top 24 UK universities.
