On Friday 7 March, eighteen Fourth Form students set off on the return trip of the French Exchange to Vincennes, which is 20 minutes away from Paris. We travelled by Eurostar, and arrived in Paris where we explored for the following hour. While exploring, we got to see the spectacular view of all of Paris from the steps of the Sacré Cœur, after a long climb up many stairs. Afterwards we went to the exchange school and although we were nervous, we were all very excited to see our French exchange partners again and meet their families - who were all lovely. The weekend was spent meeting up with friends, going sight-seeing and shopping, and some very lucky people also went to Disneyland! On the Monday we met up at school and went into Paris to see some monuments, such as the Eiffel Tower which was just as beautiful as in the pictures. We also saw the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Eylsées and had a traditional French lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon we took a river tour around Paris in the sun and went back to school for a leaving party where we were given a present from the school as a souvenir. On our final day we had a Maths lesson (in French) and a French lesson at the school and then said our goodbyes to our new friends, who we all hope to see again. The trip was a great experience which we will never forget and we are all so thankful to have been able to take part.
