On Monday 31 March 2014 work will commence on renovating the external building façade of the Mansion House. The works will comprise cleaning and external repairs to the stonework of the front façade and replacement of the flat leaded roof over the entrance. It also includes repair and redecoration of timber window frames as well as relaying of York stone paving at the building entrance.
This is the first stage of a phased programme to restore the stonework of the Mansion over a period of 10 years. The works will be completed by OG Stonemasonry, a local company based in North Leigh, Witney.
The first stage is due to be completed by 30 June 2014 and will be finished and looking splendid in time for Prize Giving.
