Year 3 Sulgrave Manor Trip

On Monday 24 June 2013, Year 3 visited Sulgrave Manor, a superb example of a modest manor house of Shakespeare’s time.

The children dressed as Tudor children and took an authentic packed lunch to add to the excitement of the day, exploring the Great Hall, Kitchen and Bedchamber amongst the furniture and artefacts during the period of Lawrence Washington, who bought the estate from Henry VIII in 1539. The children also acted out the story of the Tudor Kings and Queens and even had the chance to take part in a Tudor dance!

The trip was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
