Trebuchet Building Competition

As part of this year’s Oxfordshire Science Festival, Cokethorpe School will be hosting a Trebuchet Building Competition on Sunday 21 March 2010, from 10.00am–2.00pm.

After witnessing teams of scientist compete, in true 'Scrapheap Challenge' style you are invited to build an empire-building siege machine to compete for the Oxford’s Siege Engineer crown.

Prizes for the winners will include a microscope kit, book vouchers and passes for the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Blenheim Palace.

This event is being run by scientists that are part of the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy Apprentice scheme.

Entry is free and open to all.
