Cokethorpe Junior School

The Junior School, based in the Mansion itself, retains its own identity, independence and distinct character whilst benefiting from being linked to the Senior School. This is achieved by having its own Head of Junior School, with separate staff, uniform and timetable, which allows our children to flourish, develop confidence and feel valued.

Whilst self-sufficient in most respects, the Junior School enjoys activities such as the Headmaster’s Assembly and House events with the Senior School. Children will get to know older pupils through shared activities and feel part of a wider community.

The children of the Junior School benefit enormously from having access to the Senior School facilities, especially the all-weather pitches and other sports facilities, performing arts, science laboratories, computer resources and the splendid new Dining Hall. In addition, academic and sporting specialist staff, and bursarial, administrative and maintenance support, allow the Junior School to function at the most efficient level.
