Cokethorpe School

Open Days

If you are trying to choose the right school for your child, Cokethorpe's Open Morning is the perfect opportunity for an informal visit to see a little deeper into the School's life. Current pupils are on hand to give visitors a tour of the Junior and Senior School, during which they may stop for you to listen to some busking musicians or impromptu poetry readings, watch a drama sketch or one of the many sports fixtures taking place, or even to try out clay-pigeon shooting or have a go on the climbing wall. All departments are open with teachers ready to discuss academic and pastoral matters, whilst subject-specific displays and activities also contribute to the lively atmosphere. The Registrar, Head of Junior School, Head of Sixth Form, Master of Scholars and Director of Studies are all on hand to answer any specific questions, and visitors also have the opportunity to hear a talk from the Headmaster.

Parents, grandparents, guardians, former pupils, friends, and of course children, are invited to attend this exciting and buzzing event and to see the School in action. No registration is necessary. Subsequently, individual visits are encouraged when families get to see the day-to-day working of the School.
