The beautiful grounds in which Cokethorpe is set cannot fail but have a huge impact on our pupils as they go about their busy day to day lives.

The Mansion

The Junior School, Headmaster’s study, performance space and some administrative offices are located in this elegant Queen Anne Mansion House.

The Academic Block

The buildings that form the Upper Quad house most of the academic departments within the School. Contemporary and spacious, these classrooms provide an excellent learning environment.

The Library

The Cranham Library, named after a former History master, is on the ground floor of the contemporary glass and stone Library building. Upstairs is the Common Room Library, for use by members of the Sixth Form and teaching staff. This workspace is the perfect environment for study with commanding views over the surrounding countryside.

The Dining Hall

Completed in 2009, the Dining Hall combines both a modern design with a traditional dining experience.

The Sixth Form Centre

Above the Dining Hall is the hub for all things Sixth Form. From social spaces, to careers libraries, computing and work areas, this is the centre of Sixth Form life.

The Shed

This glamorously titled building is the centre for performing arts. With a 200 seat auditorium this space is well used by dramatists, musicians and is also used for visiting speakers.

The Sports Facilities

As well as six rugby and football pitches, two Astroturf pitches, fourteen tennis courts, three cricket pitches, seven netball courts, a climbing tower and clay-pigeon shoot, we have a full size Sports Hall with fitness suite attached.

The Boat House

Situated close to the School on the River Thames, our kayakers are able to enjoy this splendid facility whilst our sailors sail on Farmoor Reservoir.

The Chapel

The Church of St Mary the Virgin stands a short distance from the Mansion. It provides a beautiful setting for School services, assemblies, classes and events.
