All parents and guardians of current pupils, current members of staff of the School and governors are automatically members of the Cokethorpe Parents’ Association, (CPA). A committee is elected annually at the AGM which is held in September each year.
The general aim of the Association is to give parents, staff and governors the opportunity to meet informally and socially. The committee meets once a month to plan a self-financing programme of social and educational events and to discuss new ways of fundraising for projects that will enhance the School’s facilities. Events include; Burns’ Night, Quiz Night, Summer Ball, Murder Mystery Evening, Fireworks Extravaganza and Christmas Fayre. For full details of forthcoming events search CPA in the calendar.
It is very important that the committee evolves as pupils enter and leave the School so that successful events may be enhanced and new ideas are introduced. The monthly meetings are open to all and we encourage parents to attend and consider becoming a member of the committee at the next AGM.
