At the heart of school life is academic study.
Pupils here are taught by highly-skilled and qualified teachers who bring rigour and enrichment to lessons both in and out of the classroom. Our pupils are encouraged to become passionate about their academic subjects, to study beyond what is examined and to gain a true understanding of their subjects and their place in the world. This is all done in an atmosphere of cooperation and partnership between all parts of the community, but especially between teachers and pupils.
Class sizes are deliberately small, ensuring that all pupils are provided with the specific challenge and support they individually need. Delivery of the curriculum is underpinned by the very highest quality pastoral care and standards of expectation amongst the whole school community. Communication between home and school is vital and encouraged both formally and informally.
