Applications for places into our Sixth Form are welcomed, but as availability is limited, we recommend registering interest as early as possible in the final GCSE year.
This will also help to ensure that A Level choices can be accommodated.
Sixth Form places are offered conditionally upon the achievement of appropriate grades in the final GCSE examinations.
Step 1 Visit Us
Before starting the Admissions Process we would always recommend that, where possible, both parents and pupils visit the School. The best way to see the School is by attending one of our Open Days that take place throughout the year. Open Days are a great way to explore the School, talk to staff and pupils and hear an address from the Headmaster.
If the dates of our open days are not convenient, then families are invited to book an individual visit so that they have an opportunity to look around the School and speak with the Admissions Team. An appointment can be made by contacting the Admissions Secretary on 01993 703921 (Option 1) or by email at email@example.com
Step 2 Registration
In order to progress the application, parents are requested to complete a Registration Form and return it to the Admissions Department with a non-refundable registration fee of £100.
Once registered, candidates will be invited to attend our Sixth Form Options Evening to talk to Heads of Department about chosen subjects.
For applicants who are registered with us, we also offer the opportunity to arrange a Taster Day with our current Sixth Form, sampling lessons in the chosen subjects and meeting staff and students. During the day, candidates will be interviewed by the Head of Sixth Form.
Offers of Places
Offers of places are made in December each year, although late applications may be considered if places are available. Offers will be based on suitable A Level subject choices as well as performance in the mock GCSE examinations. All offers of Sixth Form places will be conditional on the achievement of appropriate grades in the final GCSE examinations.
